ISTIDAMAA is women led organisation founded in Khartoum, Sudan, with a singular vision: that environmental stewardship is the bedrock of lasting peace. We emerged from the ashes of conflict to champion fair land governance and sustainable resource management. Our organization is committed to fostering harmonious relationships between communities and their environments, advocating for policies that ensure equitable access to land and natural resources, while promoting practices that safeguard our planet for future generations.

At ISTIDAMAA, we focus on several key areas to drive our mission forward. We provide training and resources for communities to engage in sustainable land practices, advocate for environmental policies that prioritize both people and nature, and facilitate dialogue among stakeholders to resolve conflicts over land and resources. Our programs aim to empower women, youth and local communities, ensuring they have a voice in governance processes, and creating pathways toward sustainable development and peace.
